v4.99 build 12

1. Added a "More..." menu item in the render resolution to directly access many known resolution formats for 4:3, 16:9, 16:10 and 2:1 ratio. 2. Remembers the last OpenGL settings. 3. Added a list of light objects in the Emitter material editor so you can turn On/OFF individual lights that uses the s...

It probably won't work anymore, I'm sure the site has changed since 9 years ago.

Re: downloading full-sized images from coppermine gallery

yes it should, well, it uses the date the server returns. If the file is from a PHP script for example, it more likely have the date it was generated (the date the picture was viewed).

Re: slow rendering

With 112 lights, it'll take more to update. Mine took 5 min to update with 48 lights. You need to look at the % at the bottom, next to the Free memory, it would be like "This frame: 35%". Do you need that many lights? Combine the emitting faces that are clustered together into a group, say, 6 in a g...

Re: slow rendering

One quick observation... My skp2019 say that there are problems with some edges, fix them? I said yes. Isn't your skp2017 say the same? 1. Your "Aluminum" material is set to 50% Reflection and 10% Shine, make the Shine 0% because the two together in some occasions will loop, there is no need for shi...

Re: slow rendering

This is not something we can fix via phone or TV. The best is for you to PM me your SKP file and I'll export it, render it and see exactly what the problem is and fix it.

Re: slow rendering

No need to uninstall, simply download the Installer (the update not the full) and it will update the files... http://raylectron.com/Raylectron_Setup_Update_Win64_CPU.exe There are 3 Michael here. It's better to do tech on here or via PM so we can keep track for reference. Unless your request for pho...

Re: slow rendering

Have you updated to 4.99.11? This bug has been fixed, where the ray keeps on looping sometimes when using transparent images like for trees (the leaves). Michael isn't around, been a long while.

You got it. For the "Save as", we'll simply add another "Save as with layers)". The Transparent background question is only asked when saving in a format that support transparency, in the case of jpg, it shouldn't ask.

Re: Skatter Support

The problem with this is that it export the geometry as triangles and Skatter paint the grass blades in a way that it create distorted textures per triangles, hence the many almost identical textures. This is something in the works, to try and export as many quads as possible beside triangles, which...

Re: Feature suggestions

Absolutely, there is no need for X and Z to be non-zero, we'll fit that and we'll also add some presets as you suggested and for other formats as well such 4:3, 16:9, 16:10 etc. As for the lights, very good idea, we'll do that as well, makes perfect sense. ok for the OpenGL, we'll make it to remembe...

Re: A detailed video on how to do an interior animation

Animations will always take a long time. If you have a 16 cores CPU or a $2k GPU, it would be much faster. One way is to use the OpenGL setting in performance mode. It does have some shading but no artificial lights as it wasn't meant for production output but for quick model navigation. Also, the m...

Hi there,

We can certainly do so. Give us a few days and we'll add it to our tutorial page.
