Yes. I did that and all back to normal again. I think I clicked the GPU button by mistake first and immediately clicked the cpu button and then it started acting crazy. Now all is ok.
Thanks.

Raylectron acting strange
Hello there, Still on latest 4.99 version. This just started happening today. After running Raylectron for a few seconds, I noticed I am still in Clay rendering mode. So I stopped the render, unchecked the clay rendering and continue the rendering, but the rendering doesn't change and stays in clay ...

Re: rendering
Ok. Understood. I just deleted all the other glass options and kept the strips version only and rendering is looking ok now. I didn't use the glass(solid)material for the frosted part. I created a new material called frosted glass and then in Raylectron converted my SU frosted glass material to Rayl...

Re: rendering
you wrote: <I didn't touch the geometry, simply convert it to Glass (solid) and apply 1 to the diffuse.> I see. I had also converted the clear glass sections to Glass(solid)!! and converted the other two sections to frosted glass. Why did you apply 1 to the diffuse? Is that to make the glass looks b...

Re: rendering
So what I guessed was the culprit was right then> I mentioned I had a few copies of the glass with different configuration as far as the frosted and solid glass, but I hide the ones I didn't need and only rendered the one which was supposedly visible. So it was the other copies of the glass occupyin...

Re: rendering
Here it is. In real life we can have a glass panel that the surface is partly clear and partly sand blasted or foggy or frosted. You have seen glass panels in commercial buildings that have foggy or sand blasted strips on them. That's the effect I like to get but at the same time showing the thickne...

Re: rendering
I did that for the strips. I made a 1/64" gap between the strips and 1/128" between the glass and the table top and the bottom of the upper counter. still the same crazy effect!!

Re: rendering
Ok. Thanks much for the explanation. Yes it does makes sense. Maybe I can get a better rendering with my shower glass enclosure then.
Thanks again.

Re: rendering
Yes I am talking about the glass strips. I had a similar design in another project which was a shower enclosure and I had a 9" clear solid glass at the bottom, 4 feet of frosted glass on top of the lower one and another 1'-3" of clear solid glass again on top of that one with no gap betwee...

Hello, I have 4 strips of glass at 2.25 inches high each making a total of 9 inches. 2 pieces are frosted glass and 2 pieces are clear solid glass as materials. When I render them, it goes crazy like this and doesn't give me a clean rendering. I even tried to delete the top and bottom faces of the s...

Re: RAYLECTRON - Download versions
Ok. I'll try that. Thank you.
One more question. When it starts rendering, it doesn't show the whole view as I have in my SU scene! Is there a setting to render the same aspect ration as the scene? When I select fit to view, it doesn't show it either! Any idea?
Many thanks as always.

Re: RAYLECTRON - Download versions
Hello again, After I updated the other day, Raylectron window when it opens is so small. I have to stretch it every time. I remember there was once a default size or a choice we could have for a view port size as a default, so it opens up always the same size. How can I do a defualt view port for re...

Re: RAYLECTRON - Download versions
That is how I install it all the time as an administrator. I even closed SU and stopped and exited raylectron and when tried installing it again as an administrator, I got the same error message. I'll try it one more time. Thanks PS. Here are two images. One in SU and then trying to render it. Count...

Re: RAYLECTRON - Download versions

Re: not rendering the whole skectup view/scene
Thanks for getting back to me. Yes I know but I want it at the same aspect ratio as in my sketchup scene. Use to do it by default. I'll attach a couple of shots later on. Thanks much. Also I have a grass area about 6000 square feet. I don't seem to be able to convert the area to grass because it giv...

not rendering the whole skectup view/scene
Somehow after this latest update, I can't seem to be able to render the same aspect ratio as the sketchup scene(s) I have. Somehow it only renders part of the scene. I changed to the 3 main option settings and nothing makes a difference and keeps showing the same view. I remember there used to be a ...

rendering is messed up
Hello again, Up until yesterday, I rendered the model with no problem as you can see in one of the images attached. I downloaded a few components from the 3D warehouse and made sure there are no hidden section planes or other hidden objects, then grouped it all and used them accordingly. When I star...

Re: slow rendering
I did mess around with light faces a bit and somehow it went up to 112 and thanks for mentioning this. When I was done with all the lights, there were only 50 and I have no idea how in went up to 112.
I'll check them again.
Thanks much as usual.

Re: slow rendering
I fixed all the issues. It started rendering fine was somehow the live update doesn't update the rendering right away. I waited 7 minutes and it still wasn't doing it. The rendering got updated when I clicked the stop render button and re-clicked the render button again. I know I have lots of lights...

Thanks much. I'll go ahead and correct those issues. I had a message once to correct an issue and I clicked the fix button and it was fixed. 1- will correct the setting on aluminum. 2- "light -track" are the 3 light fixtures above the coffee area as it shines on the picture. 3- I found out...

Ok I will send you the skp file. Though it might very well work on your machine. It would be really nice if someone could go through the rendering process with my computer and see what I am missing and if he can fix it remotely. Attached is the skp file.

Hello again, I installed the latest version 4.99.11 and it is still the same thing. Very slow. After all the processing is done and you expect to see your model being rendered, nothing shows up. Even after about 3 0r even 4 minutes, nothing shows up. Its only after i click on the stop rendering butt...
