Re: NameWiz Stopped Working

Run it as "Administrator" (right click, "Run as administrator") and it should work. It happens rarely, and we think it's Win7 security settings and/or anti-virus related. You can also try to disable DEP.

Re: Scanning a PHP site

Maybe the links on the site are not on the same doamin. For example, if you scan a site by using its IP and the site has links pointing the domain name instead, it will not work. I need something to know what's going on. Can you email me the main page (remove any data from the html)? And how is the ...

Filters doesn't seem to work, why?

Sometimes, if there is a space in the filter, it will not work.

For example...

Code: Select all

*.bmp; *.jpg
Instead, use...

Code: Select all

*.bmp;*.jpg
Notice the space removed between ; and *

How to delete the oldest duplicate files and keep the newest.

First, sort the list by date. Click on the "Date Modified" column header once or twice or until the first file listed is the newest. Then click on the "Select All" icon. All the oldest files will be selected, except for the newest ones. Now click on the "Delete" icon to move them to the recycle bin.

Re: Where have all te options gone??

Using the Filter's Modify Document setting, you can easily conver the js links into href links. If you have a page you want to do it on, post part of it here where the js links shows and I'll show you the filters for it.

Re: Scanning a PHP site

Hi,

You can leave that field blank. Here are the settings you should use (no filters). Does your site redirect links? Say, from www.domain.com to domain.com?

Re: Page count and sitemap cross-check

All of your suggestions can be done using the Expert script. Your ideas are good one, so I'll see what we can do to make such scripts. 3. Yes that would be great, but on large sites and those with js, Flash, asp, php and whatever is not .html will have problems because scripts like php doesn't send ...

Re: Facebook widget fool BlackWidow

Yes, we noticed this as well. The proper URL should be restored once the page has loaded, that is, when the Stop iocn is grayed out. But if it doesn't, then as you said, re-enter the URL in the address bar and do not press Enter. Sites with iFrame and ads are the worst!

It's trying to download to the installed folder, and Windows will not let it. So you need to download the latest from our site, no need to un0install.

Re: Yellow page script to pull Name, Street, City, State, Zip...

It's very easy if you know PHP. It's like Basic, easier. Have you look at our free scripts?... http://softbytelabs.com/Support/scripts.php?what=brpGeneral&action=default The best way to learn scripting in BrownRecluse is to look at other scripts. But of course you can ask questions here on the forum.

That's one reason why we upgraded it. The old one was too old.

Yes, you can harvest emails using BrownRecluse, even those with the at word to stop spiders, but it will not stop BrownRecluse. In fact, you can harvest anything you want from any site.
