Trouble getting a generator mask to work properly for BWv5.22

Post by Dunmisk »

I am having a bit of trouble getting a generator mask to work properly.
The part of the URL that am working with is: http:....MTM1NDU4MEUxRTExMTQ1MTQyNUQwMj[1]N[2]0[3][4]
Whereby;
- [1] has values of: U4,U5,VB,VC,VD,VE,VF,VG,Uw,Ux (where U4=0, U5=1,...,Ux=9),
- [2] has values of: UE,UI,Tg,Tk,UU,UY,UM,UQ,TI,TM (where UE=0, UI=1,... ,TM=9),
- [3] has values of: MD,MT,Mj,Mz,ND,NT,Nj,Nz,OD,OT (where MD=0, MT=1,...,OT=9),
- [4] has values of: A4,A5,BB,BC,BD,BE,BF,BG,Aw,Ax (where A4=0, A5=1,...,Ax=9),
As an example: http…… MTM1NDU4MEUxRTExMTQ1MTQyNUQwMjUxNUI0NzBC represents a number ending in 9173

The generator mask that I tried does not seem to work correctly:
http:....MTM1NDU4MEUxRTExMTQ1MTQyNUQwMj{w,'U4,U5,VB,VC,VD,VE,VF,VG,Uw,Ux'}N{x,'UE,UI,Tg,Tk,UU,UY,UM,UQ,TI,TM'}0{y,'MD,MT,Mj,Mz,ND,NT,Nj,Nz,OD,OT'}{z,'A4,A5,BB,BC,BD,BE,BF,BG,Aw,Ax'}

Can anybody help a first timer??

You need to setup a start and end value for you variables. {w,0,9}{x,0,9} etc.

The way you have it now is only producing the links using the strings you have in the list instead of generating number for them.

I think I have confused things. The URL must maintain the format http:....MTM1NDU4MEUxRTExMTQ1MTQyNUQwMj*N*0** where the * represent a 2 character value and not a 2 digit number.
Once opened the webpage is identified with a 4 digit numeric ID ranging from 0 - 9,999.
What I am trying to accomplish is to generate links to all 10,000 pages.
For example:
http:....MTM1NDU4MEUxRTExMTQ1MTQyNUQwMjUxNUI0NzBC will open a page that has an ID of 9173,
http:....MTM1NDU4MEUxRTExMTQ1MTQyNUQwMjUxNUI0NzBD will open a page that has an ID of 9174,
http:....MTM1NDU4MEUxRTExMTQ1MTQyNUQwMjUxNUI0NzBE will open a page that has an ID of 9175,
.
http:....MTM1NDU4MEUxRTExMTQ1MTQyNUQwMjUxNUI0ODBC will open a page that has an ID of 9183,
http:....MTM1NDU4MEUxRTExMTQ1MTQyNUQwMjUxNUI0ODBD will open a page that has an ID of 9184,
.
http:....MTM1NDU4MEUxRTExMTQ1MTQyNUQwMjUxNTg0NzBC will open a page that has an ID of 9283,
.
http:....MTM1NDU4MEUxRTExMTQ1MTQyNUQwMjVENUY0NTBE will open a page that has an ID of 5555,
etc..
Because none of the 4 sets of ten 2 character pairs have any consistent pattern or series from one pair to the next, I can't establish any 'start' and 'end' value' for a variable.
Using 4 sets of strings was the only way I thought I could get it to work.

I see what you mean but can you just generate the links to the page with the ID?

Not sure what you mean?
I can get it to work for any one given 2 character pair which technically means that I would have to write only 1000 generator masks.
I can also create an Excel formula to create all 10000 URL's and then hyperlink them but that would then entail accessing each page individually.
Of course another alternative that I can think of is to write a generator mask to look for every character combination - upper & lower alphanumeric and 0-9 digits - for the last 10 characters of the URL!!
But that's like a gagillion bazillion links!

You said that each of those links brings up a page which in turn has a link with an ID, can you generate that link with the ID directly instead?
