How to use the X-Ray vision

Unlike the X-Ray in Sketchup, the X-Ray vision in Raylectron let you hide faces in front of the camera so you can see inside. For example, draw a solid rectangle, say, 16' wide by 16' deep and 8' high. Select the whole rectangle and reverse the faces so that the front faces are pointing inside. Now place a 1"x1" rectangle 1" below the ceiling, anywhere in that room, or at the center. Make sure the front face is pointing down as this is the light direction, and group this rectangle. Now assign this group a color for the light, say, white, and in the Raylectron Material Editor, make this color a light, turn it on and set the power to 60 and the coverage angle to 90 degree and click Apply.

Now view the entire model from the front "Camera/Standard Views/Front" and click on the "Zoom extents" icon to bring the entire model into full view. Now click on the Render button in the Raylectron Material Editor window and select 50%. The actual Raylectron render window will come up. Now, if you render it like this, it will be black, because the light is inside, and you're looking at it from the outside. Now set the X-Ray level to 1 and render it.

Now you see the render as if we removed the front wall. Unlike other renders where you have to remove the wall to see inside, or set a very high field of view and place the camera in a corner, Raylectron doesn't remove the wall. It only hides it from the viewer, not from the renderer, so the wall will still be visible in mirrors, lights will bounce off of it etc. This setting is very practical because you can render rooms while keeping a 35mm field of view without a wall blocking the camera view.

If your wall has more than one plane, set the X-Ray level to that number. A number of 2 means the first 2 plane the camera comes in contact with will not be visible to the viewer. Think of this as a ray coming out of the camera hitting the first plane, go through it, hit another plane and go through it again.

Now stop the render and rotate it using the Ctrl+Left mouse button, or using the middle mouse button, so you can see the top and 2 sides. Render it again, now the top and the 2 sides are hidden so you can see inside from that angle.

Now put some mirrors up on the walls, a few plants and a few furniture or whatever and try it again to see the advantage of using the X-Ray vision.
