This is really nice, one of the best render examples i've seen.

Can I ask how you achieved the smoke (I assume this was done in sketchup) ?

Thanks :D The smoke is a simple PNG of smoke with a transparent background so it is only a 2D image placed in Sketchup and no other processing required.

Really ?! That would take tens of minutes of adjusting 'Modifers' to make smoke look that good in 3Ds Max.

wow! this only took 10 seconds, just placed it on top of the ashtray and made it to always face the camera and that's it. 3DS sure is complicated!

I tried once and was getting not bad at it, but after not touching it for a few weeks, I completely forgot how it worked! it's one of those complicated software you have to work with on a daily basis not to forget how it works.
