special symbols

BeownReclise is a programmable web spider. Scan a web site and retrieve from it the information you need. You could scan a Real Estate web site and collect all of the agent addresses, phone numbers and emails, and place all this data into a tab delimited database file. Then import this data in your Excel application for example.

in the manual - the section on special symbols doesnt tell you what these can be used for

where can i find out or is there a document somewhere with the info in?

eg (.*?) seems to be used as the value required - but what does the syntax mean?

anyone got some examples or a list of definitions?

Have you looked at the section: Masks Details? I assume you are refering to rgular expressions? It is Perl compatible, so any doc on Perl regex is good.
