Request - Scan image files exluding metadata

It would be extremely helpful if CloneMaster could (optionally?) scan for duplicate image files while ignoring each file's metadata (EXIF, IPTC).

I've come across many image files that are duplicates to other image files, except for their metadata.

Is such a scan possible?

Yes it is possible. Can you email me some files that we can work with? Dups and non dups. We did it that way for mp3, but not for images (yet).

I just sent an email, with samples contained in an attached RAR file, to support@softbytelabs.com.

Thank you. :D

We are working on it. Give us a week or two.

Just dropping by to check on the progress of this requested feature, and to evidence my continuing interest in it's development.

Happy New Year to everyone!

I didn't hear from the developers recently, but last time I did, they said they are working on many more file types containing meta data, not just jpg, so it'll take longer!

After four months of waiting, I'm growing increasingly anxious for the addition of this feature to Clonemaster. Is this still something that is being worked on?

I know, but they are working on a completely new version, a 64 and 32 bit, and with way more functions, including what you requested.

Just stopping by for my annual update on the progress of the subject request.

How's it going? Any progress?

I know, I said give us a few weeks, but I'm not the developer. They just released Comparator and from what I'm told, CloneMaster is next. I ask for an eta, and they said "don't know yet". So I'm passing along the message rather then assuming as I've done before!

Stopping by with my second annual checking of the status of my request.

Has there been any progress with the addition of this requested feature?

My need for this feature, which is primarily to detect image files that are duplicates but for some of such file's metadata having been automatically modified after having been subjected to abuse by Google's Picasa, continues. I would find it hard to believe that others wouldn't find this feature of benefit.

Happy Holaladays!

We've done it for audio files and it is slowing the scan dramatically. So we are still trying to find a way to make this fast, and, there are many image formats containing meta data, not an easy task!

I fully understand. (Dang it.)
