Auto expand not working

With NameWiz, you can rename files en-masse in either a single folder or all sub folders. Change the file extension, make all names lower/upper case, replace, remove, insert, delete, move or swap characters, add prefixes and suffixes, or replace the names altogether with sequential names of your choosing.

Auto expand not working

Post by JessKaufman »

The auto expand feature can be great, but also if it is on when you click a large directory (say one with a couple thousand subs and 20 or 30 Gb of files), you can get stuck for minutes or hours. So i normally turn it off, if i remember, instead of ending the NameWiz task and reloading.

Now i have it off and wish to turn it on, but its GREYED out. I am on the main parent directory, and have FOLDERS selected, but still can't check it. Any ideas? I am probably missing something simple.

In order for it to be enabled, you need to select "Process sub folders" in one of the rename functions.
