Comparator does not find new files

I am just testing Comparator Pro 5.1.2 .I want to back up my favorites to an USB Stick. I have new ones on the left side. But C does not find them. What can I do ?
OS : Win 7 64 bit home premium Sp1

Have you first (for first time only) copied (drag drop) the Favorite folder onto your memory stick? then after your favorites changed, compared the two folders using Comparator?

I copied the favorites after and after over a long time . Now I wanted to use the elegant way .

ok, so for example, you have C:\Favorites (hard drive) and M:\Favorites (memory stick) and in Comparator you select C:\Favorites on the left side and M:\Favorites on the right side and did a compare? if so, what did you get? or what did you expect to get?

Ha ha , I expect to see in the tab " Missing Files " all the new favorites I bookmarked since the last backup. So I can copy them to the USB-Stick too.

Exactly, that's what it should do. Can you post a screen shot of the Comparator main window so I can see the settings and stuff?

I just found out I use version 4.10 not 5.12 .
I got it from a download archiv . Perhaps this is the reason it does not show the files. It can not work with a newer version. Or should it show the files nevertheless ?

We don't support this old version anymore. Can you try the latest version?
