Hi there,

We can certainly do so. Give us a few days and we'll add it to our tutorial page.

Thanks much. I tried making one with 10 different scenes, but at 30 frames per second, 50 samples, the message was saying it would take 36 hours to make the rendered animation. That is too long to wait!! Has there been a faster processing with the latest V4 update for the animation part?

Thanks again.

Animations will always take a long time. If you have a 16 cores CPU or a $2k GPU, it would be much faster. One way is to use the OpenGL setting in performance mode. It does have some shading but no artificial lights as it wasn't meant for production output but for quick model navigation. Also, the more complex the model and the more artificial lights, the longer it will take. The duration of the video, say, 30 sec as oppose to 2 min will take much longer to complete. 30 FPS is also high quality, maybe try it with 20 to reduce the amount of time it takes to render.

I know this is an old thread, but I was curious about the same thing. Just 'how' do you create the animations? I have the buttons there and my computer can handle it; the 'animation preview and save' tabs are grey and do not activate?

You need to add a scene so it can animate them. For example, place the camera at the starting view of your animation and click the Add Scene button. Move the camera to another view and add another scene. Keep doing that until the last scene that will bring the camera to the end view. Now you will be able to animate the scenes. Keep in mind that the camera transitions from one view to the next is linear or curved, so you need to have scenes that make sense, like, to have the camera going around an object in 360 (as in the video below) you'll need a scene (a camara position and view) every 45 degrees of the 360 deg rotation. So the end of one scene is actually the beginning of another.

I did do that in fact. But what I noticed was my 'scenes' are still on the right side user panel and not as tabs on the tool bar?

They are the two rightmost icon in the Raylectron toolbar, just left of the "Performance mode" checkbox.

On the first one, do I click 'batch render'?

No, that's only to render all scenes one image at a time. Go to the right side and open the Animation tab.

Yes, I have that. Two tabs, preview and save. But they are grey, aka they're not active when the model and scenes are loaded.

Correction, now they are active  So I will have to wait.

One question. Can I create scenes for example, you have a ship in the distance, then you gradually bring it toward you until it passes by? (several scenes I imagine)

Yes absolutely, all you really need is 2 scenes, the first is the ship in a distance, the 2nd is the ship just pass the camera, that would be a linear path.

You need to add Scenes in order for these to be enabled. The Preview is to look at the animation in draft mode (not rendered) and save is to start rendering the animation. Add scenes using this button...

Yes I figured that out. It came out okay-ish. The RayLectron water mark ruined it though

Unlike the standard render, where the watermark is always in the lower left corner, I can easily fix that. With the vid, there were about 8 water marks all over the video.

I suppose we forgot to remove them. Prior to the limited resolution in the free version, we had watermark, now that we have limited resolution, these should not be there, at least not all over the place, just the bottom left corner.
