Animation in peformance mode

Post by yawningdog »

Just downloaded the new update. Looks like you have made the "performance mode" quality much nicer. So nice, in fact, that I would be happy to create my animations in performance mode quality. Surely it would be way quicker than normal render. Is that possible, or could you add it to another update? Thanks

By the way, what else did you do in the latest update? (Downloaded today)

Yes, you can make the animation in performance mode as well. The latest update is only that and fixed the "Spot" effect in the light, it was too bright. The update prior to this one, we added to possibility to emit light from the front, the back or both faces of an emitter. The rest are maintenance updates.

I have tried to render an animation by using the performance mode, and it seems to just come up as a normal animation render. I have tried varying the samples from 1 to 12, but the only change is the quality / graininess. Is there another way to get that open GL smooth look that performance mode gives me when panning & zooming? Thanks.
