Animation flickering

Post by Rene »

When I make an animated video there is a lot of flickering in the end result. How can I prevent this? I am using:

Frames/sec=30
Samples/frame=60
Video quality=100

That's because you have 2 faces occupying the exact same space. This is called Z fighting.

How can I find the faces that are causing this? I have eliminated the double faces I could find but I still get the flickering.

It only shows up in animation. Not in sketchup and not when I move around in Raylectron in performance mode. Render mode is to slow to be able to check it.

You need to do this in Sketchup. The ground part where the car is on, it looks like you have two rectangle, one white and one with the stone materials, both at the same place. So when you render, the white face is sometimes visible and sometimes it's the stone face. The reason is, Raylectron can not decide which face comes first because they both occupy the same space, so it's random. In turn, this will project the white face on the car and sometimes the stones, making it look like the car is also flickering. If you can PM me your model, I can fix it for you and make a video on how I did it.

Another thing, you need more samples per frame as well. What do you have it set at?
