So what's this little rectangle??

When I render I get a little rectangle off to the side of the render window, see image

What is it???

usually it's got to do with geometry, like there is another object on the other side that is touching this face, or the face is doubled up.

I checked geometry and its appears for even simple models.

it's actually outside the rayelectron program window and is on its own on the desktop? I can't select it or do anything with it.

Any further ideas?

oh that one, ok, that's the material preview box, when you hover your mouse cursor over the materials in the material list, it brings up that little box with the material preview. Not sure why it does that sometimes but it doesn't affect the render.
