Data encryption. SecurityPlus ia an encryption software, will encrypt files, file encrypting and shred files.

SecurityPlus is a powerful and on the fly file encryption / file decryption utility with file viewer, thumbnails, slideshow and program selector, runs in the tray and offers full privacy of images, other files, and applications. SecurityPlus is very fast and won’t take long to encrypt / decrypt even large files (including files on CD-ROM). Current passwords (keys) can be quickly cleared and files can be safely deleted (shredded). Other features: zoom, full screen view, viewer with size selection, JPG and dithering options, files list, image info (including CRC).

Powerful Encryption & decryption: SecurityPlus is a powerful and on the fly encryption/decryption utility. It should not be confused with a password protection type program. Password protection simply applies a password to a file, whereas encryption/decryption modifies the file. SecurityPlus is simple to use and virtually uncrackable. This utility has been designed in ASM language. Files can also be dragged from other applications and dropped into the SecurityPlus viewer or Files List or from the file list into other applications.

Encryption key: SecurityPlus is the ultimate security program for your files. Unlike other programs of this type, SecurityPlus uses for its algorithm an encryption key that you supply. This is the only key that will unlock the file. Different files may have different keys applied to them. These keys are not saved with the data, unlike other programs where the keys are open to being discovered or hacked out. SecurityPlus offers still more security with the Safe Delete feature which allows you to delete files so that they CANNOT be restored or recovered. The File Association feature will let you associate any or all supported image types with SecurityPlus so that double-clicking the file will open it with SecurityPlus.

File & Thumbnails Viewer: SecurityPlus is also a file viewer that displays over 20 different file formats, including Animated GIF files, without the need for additional viewing programs. Simply clicking on a file in the Files List will reveal it directly in the viewing area. SecurityPlus also allows you to View Thumbnails and to Zoom to a variety of image sizes. You can alter the size of the thumbnails by clicking Thumbnail Size, and then selecting the size you want. SecurityPlus will also display the image infornmation such as... CRC, size, height, width and colors.

Safe Delete : This process ensures that no one can ever retrieve your deleted files. It will writes zeros in all of the file’s data area and will change the file size to zero bytes. SecurityPlus deletes or "wipes" the file entirely - not to the Recycle Bin - so that you can’t undo the delete. If you edit the HD FAT, you can undelete it, but the only thing you will see is the random system file name with a file size of zero bytes, and pointing to no clusters on the HD. This makes it 100% secure so nobody can ever retrieve the data, not even the engineers at SoftByte Labs.

Clear Password : Selecting Clear Passwords from the Edit menu (or pressing the F8 key), will clear the passwords that you have entered in SecurityPlus to view files or run programs. With this option you don't have to exit SecurityPlus before leaving your desk to keep your files secure, as you did in previous versions. When you press F8 to secure your files, the viewing area will also be cleared for you. When you go back to your desk, SecurityPlus will prompt you to re-enter the passwords, as if you’ve just started SecurityPlus.

Can you retreive my password (key)? : SecurityPlus keeps no record of the encryption key either in memory or within the data. The only time it remembers a key is after you use it and as long as the program continues to run. Once you exit SecurityPlus the key is discarded, until you re-login with the right password. If the key is lost then you may as well delete the file. That's the reason why we say it’s uncrackable, even SoftByte cannot retreive it.

What can I encrypt? : Any file that you feel should not be seen by others. This may include such as... company records, accounting records, images, CAD drawings, videos, correspondence, bank statements, programming source files, executable files (.exe), personal data files, and many other types of files that you may consider either "sensitive" or "private" in nature to prevent their being viewed or used. SecurityPlus is 100% network compatible.
