Re: Default settings when starting up

Maybe we are talking about two different things. I would like to be able to have the Viewport open at 1920 x 1080... always, no matter what file I am opening. If I close Raylectron using the Shift key process, when I start Sketchup again with a new model, then I open Raylectron, it doesn't set the v...

Re: Default settings when starting up

Thanks for the ideas, however: "set the viewport size from the dropdown menu, resize your window, hold down the Shift key and close Raylectron"... I've set the Viewport size, resized window and done this, however Raylectron doesn't open to the correct size... it opens to a larger size, but...

Default settings when starting up

Hi I notice that whenever I open Raylectron from Sketchup, the viewport defaults to an odd size (1176 x 572 in my case). It would be nice to have the option for it to default to a pre-determined size (1920 x 1080 is a High Definition TV frame, and one that I use a lot). Am I missing something, or is...

Feature Requests

I'm very happy with the scope and speed of the Raylectron renderer. But I thought I might respectfully present several requests from my wishlist for this great program. As animation is part of my business model, it is here that I have the most specific needs: 1. The ability for Raylectron to render ...

Re: Animation

Thnx for quick reply... it's VERY late where I am, so must be very early where you are!
Unfortunately I am not using animated Sun. All coordinates are the same for each scene, but still getting flashing.
Should I install the new version you are sending?

Re: Animation

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news... but the beta update you sent has introduced a problem for me. The animations change luminance, particularly in the shadow areas, and now give a flashing appearance when played back. I've used the same .rof files from before, and the avis produced with 4.98 were ...

Re: Animation

Thank you. Inputs for AZ & EL now lock from scene to scene, so problem fixed. And I note the double asterisk to signal which option I have used, time or coordinates. Thank you for such prompt and personalised service. It is unbelievable that you are able to do this so quickly, and actually have ...

Re: Animation

OK I'll try that.... but do I get the same amount of control using date/time?
Thanks for your prompt response incidentally. :D

Animation

I have set up 2 scenes, with the sun in a certain position. But when I go to render an animation, those positions change totally. I have tried resetting the sun and creating new scenes, but the program always defaults back to those same coordinates for the Azimuth and Rotation degrees for the sun. W...

Keyframe Animation Plugin

I am wondering whether Raylectron supports the Keyframe Animation plugin. I cannot seem to be able to render my moving objects in the animation?

Re: Rendering .avi animation problem . . . HELP!

Hmmm... that's strange... changing the extension to mpg gives a decompression error on all of my versions of Premiere, both PC and Mac.

Re: Rendering .avi animation problem . . . HELP!

Adobe Premiere comes with mjpeg codec, so I don't think a codec pack will help. I am inclined to think that the avi wrapper is the problem. At present I am deconstructing the avi to an image sequence which I then import into the NLE. But this is hugely cumbersome. A future upgrade wish for Raylectro...

Re: Rendering .avi animation problem . . . HELP!

Wondering if you have any further idea about the green problem with the animation avi files in a NLE? At this stage I can't use the avis produced by Raylectron, in my work, unless I use a complicated workaround.

Re: Rendering .avi animation problem . . . HELP!

Hmmm. Same problem now for me... and I do have all the codecs. avi file plays fine in MPC, VLC, QuickTime etc, but when I import into any version of Premiere Pro... just green, all the way through.
Any thought support?

Re: Rendering .avi animation problem . . . HELP!

Sounds like you don't have the correct codec on your machine...unless it's your player... from memory Raylectron exports mjpeg, so perhaps your player won't read it (unusual for such a common codec though). Try MPC-HC.
