Re: WIP: Spaceport

@Okwa Nice :salute and it starts too look more and more colonized now. May a suggest something that is human size so for the viewer, we can have a sense of scale? Maybe get rid of the birds because they are so big, the ship looks like a missile in comparison. What do you plan for this model?

Re: Hyper-Jump-Gate WIP

@Support Sure. P.S. This is the result with all values set to 0. 60 samples rendered in each case. I would say the only difference now is that I use a lot of white paint for the model, but your model is a dark gray. When I have time, I'll look for a brown or gray model of mine. cHowever, it is nice...

Re: Tales of three City (ships)

@Support Thanks, Michael. You can now use ChatGPT 4.0 for free, with some restrictions. I wanted to test if I see a difference between 4.0 and 3.5. And creating this lyrics was part of the test. ChatGPT made this??? (I use it as a search engine instead of Google, way better) Lets call it Chri...

Re: Hyper-Jump-Gate WIP

Okwa The screen shots I sent was only one sample each, showing the problem. However, I have zero reflection or shine in that model. You have reflections, so that will make it brighter no matter what. Think of the Nebula as an environment map. If you take any env map that has about the same brightne...

Re: Hyper-Jump-Gate WIP

@Okwa All fixed and the Nebula settings gets saved now. oh, and if you add planets, they will be as bright as the Nebula, unlike before, it was one brightness regardless.

@Support Honestly, Michael. You did say that the nebula is also a light source. But so bright! WOW. Insane! :excited: :salute I'm currently working on new designs for my Hyper Jump Gates (the "primitive" alternative to the Supergates from the TV series). I was unsure about the new...

Okwa wrote: Tue Jun 11, 2024 3:05 pm It's certainly worth a try. But I think with the fog, the fact that it's bright is quite appropriate. A "flash of hope", if you like. :D
Yes, exactly :salute

@Okwa

thank you so much

:o :o :o WOW Chris!!! This looks so real! It's so amazing the difference with the fog, and you set it just like real life. I love mode 1 more, it's bright yes, but so full of life. You could reduce the sun's intensity a bit see how it does?

Re: Tales of three City (ships)

The problem is that Sketchup limits the fog distance to about 70000 inches (1778 meters) and Raylectron was using that. So I fixed it to unlimited and it works good now. The fog color sets both, the color and the density but also. the larger the distance is between Start and End, the less dense the ...

Re: Tales of three City (ships)

@Okwa This is just weird! Using the auto-set should give you a pretty good fog as it is based on the entire model bounding box. A black fog should basically give you no fog, not a black scene and a white fog gives, fog.

Let me go try that on a huge model, not a house model...

Re: Backlighting?

You can use a PNG image of the design where the lighter part is more transparent. However, if the patter is to be 3D, I can add to Raylectron a transparency setting based on thickness.
