Re: Few questions

Hi I am assuming that if I use the portal I can still use the Sun to illuminate. If you have a look at the inage the light comes from a low sun from the far right. How can I position the Sun where I want it? I know how to move the sun but not where I want it. How would you place the Sun? Yes you ca...

Re: Few questions

I meant the window opening, the building cutout of the window, trace it to make the exact same shape and paint it, make sure the face doesn't touch the windows.

When you said "I was unable to download your area rug on your free models", what happen when you try?

Re: Few questions

ok I got fooled here, I thought the whole thing was a picture but only the forest is correct? In that case, do the same as a portal, create a shape that covers the whole outside opening of the window, make sure the front face faces inside, group it, then apply the forest picture to the front face, p...

Re: Few questions

ok, but the image is fairly dark too and it does use the image pixels as the illumination. Can you send a screen shot as to how it in in Sketchup so I can visualize, or PM me a test model?

Re: Few questions

Hi, to make this image an emitter, apply this image to the front face of your rectangle or whatever object you want to put it on, then in Raylectron, convert it to an Emitter. If you have already done so, it's possible that the image is applied to the back face, in this case, select Back in the emit...

Re: How to refresh model

Hello, Close Raylectron and if you made some changes, it will ask if you want to save them, do so. Exit Raylectron, make changes to your model and re-export to the same file as the last, Raylectron will then start and will re-use the last saved settings. There are no direct contact between Raylectro...

Re: Using a lot of light power

One more question please. What settings should I use to make the glass better? Select the material for your glass and convert it to "Glass (solid)", providing all the faces have the same material, from and back, inside and out. It's easy to get fooled when the front face is transparent bu...

Re: Using a lot of light power

Hi, you are not doing anything wrong, the power isn't in watts or lux or candle power etc, let me explain how it works... In v3 and earlier versions, the power was set to 35 and that's all that was used to calculate the intensity on surfaces. That worked fine for real life size models but if you sca...

No, that part didn't change! I just tried it and it worked for me. Does it do it for all models including an empty model with just the Sketchup default with the person?

Re: light immitters what is "area ajustment"

Hello, The light intensity is multiplied by its area and the area adjustment add/sub from the original surface area of the emitter. If you have a small light and set the area adjustment to 0, it may illuminate similar to a flashlight, but if you make its area much larger, it will illuminate more lik...

Re: Which version

Hi, I suggest you download the one with the CPU logo, it has both, CPU and GPU. For interior renderings, I suggest to use the CPU because it is grain free, unlike the GPU, and, the more lights you have, the slower the GPU will be compared to the CPU. In aby case, when you install it, you will have b...

v5 first release

This new v5 release applies only to the CPU version. The GPU version remains at v4.99 v5 looks and work identically to v4 so there is nothing new to learn as far as the interface goes. However, for those who are new to Raylectron, here is a brief explanation on how it works... After installing Rayle...
