Re: Using a lot of light power
One more question please. What settings should I use to make the glass better? Select the material for your glass and convert it to "Glass (solid)", providing all the faces have the same material, from and back, inside and out. It's easy to get fooled when the front face is transparent bu...

Re: Using a lot of light power
Hi, you are not doing anything wrong, the power isn't in watts or lux or candle power etc, let me explain how it works... In v3 and earlier versions, the power was set to 35 and that's all that was used to calculate the intensity on surfaces. That worked fine for real life size models but if you sca...

Re: Loading settings deletes all the sceens
No, that part didn't change! I just tried it and it worked for me. Does it do it for all models including an empty model with just the Sketchup default with the person?

Re: light immitters what is "area ajustment"
Hello, The light intensity is multiplied by its area and the area adjustment add/sub from the original surface area of the emitter. If you have a small light and set the area adjustment to 0, it may illuminate similar to a flashlight, but if you make its area much larger, it will illuminate more lik...

Re: Which version
Hi, I suggest you download the one with the CPU logo, it has both, CPU and GPU. For interior renderings, I suggest to use the CPU because it is grain free, unlike the GPU, and, the more lights you have, the slower the GPU will be compared to the CPU. In aby case, when you install it, you will have b...

v5 first release
This new v5 release applies only to the CPU version. The GPU version remains at v4.99 v5 looks and work identically to v4 so there is nothing new to learn as far as the interface goes. However, for those who are new to Raylectron, here is a brief explanation on how it works... After installing Rayle...

Re: v5 interior test
ah, but if you use Portals, it would look even better. No need to replace your windows/doors or anything that's transparent, you simply cover the outside opening with a rectangle, front face facing towards the inside, group it and paint it with any material named Portal. Check out the video link bel...

It came out as a photo, can't tell the difference!
It's no mistake, it's just technical stuff that not everyone know, perfectly normal.

WOW, this looks absolutely amazing and real.
I got this one from OpenFootage.net when they were free. If you want free ones, you'll need to search the internet for and they're not easy to get good ones unless you pay!

Re: HDR environment maps
What are the actual dimensions of your HDR image? Usually, this look you get is because the hdr is very low quality, you need something like 4000 pixel wide to get a nice output.

Now we have birds too in v5
Couldn't help it. We've made infinite ground texture, clouds, stars, a moon and a new sky, but a sky without birds? nah, so we've added a bird generator too in v5 😁 Now v5 should be ready in a few days, unless we decide to add mountains too 😂 If you want to test drive v5 before it's out, inbox me. I...
