Re: lighting
This light adjustment would maintain 35 and decrease the area. That's correct, unless you want very powerful lights. But when I want the porcelain to reflect, being polished porcelain it has a high shine, I increase the shine value. This is also correct. Another thing is the glass, I'm not achievin...

Re: Garden Designs
:o RenderMB15 this is very impressive design and thank you for sharing. :) I'm not a landscape designer, but I would like to suggest something. For your lawn (grass), you could use the Raylectron Assets, load the grass asset, right click on your lawn to set where to place grass and set the number of...

Re: lighting
Hello, Your rendering skills are improving a lot :) The new version provides better shine from light sources so it's more realistic. But you should set your light to the default, render a few samples to see how bright it is, then adjust. One sample only is not enough, and the old way was too mat and...

Re: On a Wednesday in the Mutara Nebula
Good idea to let the user know. And for the list of components, I'll add a search (filter) box above it, this should make it easy?

Re: On a Wednesday in the Mutara Nebula
oh wow, this looks so nice Chris :salute I really love the feel of that last render. I was too tired to explain how it works  Bur basically, the "Samples" is the number of steps to make in between the original position/rotation and the new. So if you make your ship go for 10 meters a...

Re: On a Wednesday in the Mutara Nebula
@Support :salute Finally, new menu, "Motion Blur" above the "Animation" one. The first setting "Samples" is how many rendering samples to complete the blur. The rest should be easy to understand, I hope! Copy this file in your Raylectron folder, it's not the full insta...

Re: On a Wednesday in the Mutara Nebula
Warp speed Chris
oh, yes, you'll have full control over the settings. They are easy, only the distance of the blur and the number of steps (frames or passes) it has and the direction (x,y,z), that's all.

Re: On a Wednesday in the Mutara Nebula
@Support Honestly, Michael. I could kick myself in the butt right now that I didn't think of God's rays, but struggled with Sketchup models as phaser beams. This is so much better, on a completely different level. :salute   and yes, this looks sooooo much better indeed :salute Now ...

Re: On a Wednesday in the Mutara Nebula
@Okwa ah, I get it. Motion blur, hmmm, I can implement that in Raylectron, that would give it a lot of realism. oh, and for the phaser's ray, you could make a little circle and make it a light then apply God's ray to it.

Re: On a Wednesday in the Mutara Nebula
I like the title :D Is the spherical Enterprise shooting death rays at the Reliant :D It's blue because your background has blue, or the sun is :?: I like the 1st and 2nd, but the 3rd one, something's off a bit, the stars? but again, they're in gas nebula. but, the Enterprise and the Reliant are blu...

That's just weird! It doesn't cut off on mine. It the "Upward direction" check box. Are you using anything else than 100% for your Scale and Layout in Windows Display Settings?

Re: WIP: Spaceport
WOW :o This is nice Chris, I LOVE the spaceport structure, super cool :salute :salute :salute For the grass, use the asset not the grass texture as it creates individual blades. If you use the asset and load the tall grass (then right click you ground to ally it to the ground shape not flat), you ca...

Re: Old render, new render house
That's better Bryan, but let me tell you a trick, each blade will have the color of where it sits, so if you make your ground texture larger to show more variant, you'll have a more natural grass, even patches of dead grass if there is such thing in your texture. I use either one of these, maybe giv...

Re: Old render, new render house
For the terrain, in Sketchup, set a ground texture to the front face and set the back face to none. In Raylectron, load the "Tall Grass" asset, right click on the terrain so that the asset will be applied to all of the shapes that have that material, in this case, the terrain. Uncheck &quo...

Re: Old render, new render house
What a difference Did you just load the old and just rendered it or did you change anything?
You should have filled the terrain texture with the grass asset
