Re: v5.1 sneak peek

You can set the Area to 10,000 (to get more of the Rays) and it keeps the color, as long as the Power is 35.

Re: v5.1 sneak peek

Well, that's a problem because of its intensity. You can double click on the Power and Area to reset them, it will then be the right color as the intensity will be 1, but then the rays will need total re-adjustment.

Re: v5.1 sneak peek

I just set it so it's not too crazy, the default settings for the God's Ray is way too much! But if you start with those settings, it'll be easy to tune it to the way you like it.

Re: v5.1 sneak peek

I didn't do much on this, all I did is set Artificial Lights, Sun, Stars and No Ground. For the light, I left it all at default and turned on God's Ray and set Spread=0.2 Density=1.0 Range=0.8 Coverage Angle at its minimum of 0.01 and rendered it as-is...

Re: v5.1 sneak peek

For something this large compared to a house light, you'll need to increase A LOT the power and area to get the God's Ray to show. If you want, PM me the skp file and I'll find a good setting for you.

Re: v5.1 sneak peek

I do too but I'm not sure how I can include them in the list of Smilies in PHPBB other than adding as a picture to the message! BTW, I fixed Raylectron to use the ground color instead of the ground material color so that if you use transparency in the ground material, the ground color will show inst...

Re: Atlantis at night

That's nice, the ocean would actually look like that from that high up in the sky, when I use to travel via air, the ocean looked like a diffused mirror. I zoomed into the picture and wow, so many buildings it's crazy, I'd get lost too trying to edit it. BTW, you ask about fog lights, that's coming,...

v5.1 sneak peek

v5.1 has a complete rebuild of its Sketchup exporter. Fewer files and the export is incredibly fast and load in Raylectron using way less memory. What took 8GB now takes 500MB. Distorted textures are no longer exported as thousands of little textures, only the original is exported. Beside the new ex...

Re: Atlantis at night

You can also paint the window face with a white image that has soft shades, then make it a light and reduce the power and/or make the color darker, until you get the result you want.

Re: Atlantis at night

This looks really cool

For the lights, you can't just make the window a light, you need to make it 100% transparent and pure white, then, add a light in the room so the walls will be visible through the window, giving you that soft light.
