Hi I have not render for a few weeks. Just tried to render a model so after loading it is ok until I turn the Sun on where it stops rendering and sticks on usually about three frames. There is nothing I can do so I try to shut it down but have to do it through task Manager. I shut my computer down a...

How to show light through an object

Hi, I want to make a lamp with a fabric lamp shade. I want to put a spherical light emitter inside I want to keep the lamp shade looking opaque but softly glow at the same time and show as it would in a real lamp. Any ideas on what the best way would be to do that?

Did an experiment with that setup, am not getting what I expected I thought I would get a smooth spread That is 600 Samples BTW Aso thought I would get more light where it is closer to the ligt source at the top it is mm's away from the emitter I do not seem to be getting any decay Plug+Swith+GB (1)...

Hi, I will try to work it out on my own for a while I think the lighting is nery complicated so I am simplifying, I think that is the problem:)

Hi I have attached here I am aware of no post proscessing and will work on that, I have a plane. As I said when I try to make something a light emitter it simply stops rendering.....period. Thanks, I was editing whilst you were writing. I am not talikng about this render but in general. I am relitivly happy with this render. BTW the backdrop was alwaya a light emmetter this seems to work especially with this firework scene but I always do it to most for good effect.

Aha! thank you. I did have a roof though it was just turned off.
