I see what you are saying but if i size the map to the model, the seamlessness shouldn't make a difference right? It doesn't need to repeat at all just one wrap around. I don't see how the curve matters though. Are you saying that even if it was a seamless texture it wouldn't work because the patter...

Textures and Normal Maps

Trying to use a normal map on a cylinder model and I just can't seem to get it lined up correctly. I sized it in photoshop to the circumference of the model and the texture is just plain white that is the same size. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Files are attached if needed.

The problem with this is that "shine" in your case, has nothing but black to shine so it obviously will not look natural as in everyday life in a kitchen with a lot of different objects and shades to shine. Shine is like reflection but act as the shine you have on glass. If you load an En...

for #2 I am rendering a glossy material and the highlights just seem very "blocky" I guess. Like they aren't meshing well with each other. It could just be the material and I need to fiddle around with others.

Sorry about the file. Here is correct one. Would I just not use an environment map at all if I am trying to create a specific lighting situation and only use artificial lights and vice versa?

Can I adjust the sizing and placement of an hdri? I loaded one in and it just doesn't seem to line up. Any way to scale it down and even move it around so the horizons look right?

Fix White Dots

I Just started using Raylectron to render models for my work and I keep getting these white dots. Do I need to just keep letting it render or is there a lighting issue I'm not addressing. I am using and HDR environment for the lighting, no artificial lights. Any tips are greatly appreciated!!
