Re: The (Jaffa)-Empire strikes back II

Much nicer than the other one, Chris. This one has much more, how should I say, life to it? The other one was dull in comparison. It's more vibrant.

Re: V53 Depth of field test: updated

The lights no make a big difference and what you did to them is perfect, I guess it's an art, like in the jewelry stores, they strategically place spot lights of high intensity at just the right places to make the gold and diamonds stand out, so you buy and when you go outside and look at what you b...

Re: Westminster Station test render v5.3

ph :o what a big difference. If you leave the light power at 35 and play with the area adjustment, it'll give you more smooth shadows. If you leave the area adjustment to zero and use the power instead, you'll have hard shadows, spotlight effect. Dammit. My bad. I just now realized what this means....

Re: V53 Depth of field test

You did perfect, the positioning is very much like the way we see it in real life.

Thanks, it was hard and took a lot of time to make this new "Mode 1", but I'm happy with it and I'm happy that you are too :)

oh yes, I remember, you ask if I could create a thread for materials and I replied with something like "did you know that you can save your own..." or something like that.

Yes, you can make your own materials and add them to the list. When did I tell you that?

Re: lack of light after update

It looks good, and you do not have to let it run for that long, you can stop the render when it looks good or when there are no more visible differences from one frame to the next. Maybe 20 is good enough.

Re: lack of light after update

To make the room brighter, increase the Portal's Area Adjustment. But the sun is not shining inside the bathroom, if it did, it would be brighter.

Re: lack of light after update

Use Mode 1 instead of Mode 2 and for the portal, set the area adjustment to zero. For your light, set the area adjustment to zero and the power to 35, then, only set the area adjustment, not the power as this will make it more spot light.

Re: Cardassia

:o did you always have slow downloads when downloading Raylectron?? Only since version 5.3. Before that, it only happened once and this one time I associate with Internet problems on my side of the line. But these problems have been resolved. And, as I said, every download since you put 5.3 online ...

I have since downloaded and tried it and everything seems to be working fine. Dince you mentioned "the server was too slow to respond". The download of the Raylectron file was again very slow for me. Didn't go above 300 Kb/s. Otherwise, I haven't experienced a slow download for months. On...

Okwa wrote: Mon Feb 26, 2024 2:19 am No, I haven't. Strange, I just rendered something yesterday and usually the program asks me right after starting if I want to download the latest version. But there was no such thing yesterday. :?:
Anyway, I'll download right away. :salute

I have an RTX 2070 Super and that was the output from it above. You should get the same result.
