Re: Lighting Issue?

I see that half of it is below the ground, so I moved everything up above the ground. Same result thought, I'm not sure why and I will fix this ASAP. But it works fine in the GPU. Do you have a good video card? If so, try it with the GPU see how it goes?

Re: Lighting Issue?

Try with the default "White" environment map instead. Maybe make your walls light gray instead of pure white.

Re: Lighting Issue?

Well, yes and no, you need to let it run a bit longer. Remember that you have missing walls, and you use an environment map that is very bright, and everything is white in all directions.

Re: Lighting Issue?

Hello, First, let me ask you to update your Raylectron to v5.3 build 41 released yesterday. I'm sure this will fix your problem as we made many changes to the core render engine. Please let me know how it goes? Here is the download link. Use the full installer and make sure to exit Sketchup first......

Re: The BSG of my SG-BSG-Crossover

What a story and details. The background is so cool, and so is the model. I wish that guy could make the background as an environment map for better lighting though. But it's awesome like this anyway.

v5.3 build 34 (February 17, 2024)

This is an important update to the first release of v5.3

Users have reported many bugs, like the ground when used as water, glass, lights, UI etc. which are now all fixed.

Re: Luxury Asian patio

Here's what I did with this one. I moved the light to 50' above ground and away from the building so it's not on top of the tree. I set the God Ray to max but the distance to 50' Power to 35 and area to zero. Made the fog color darker and this is the result (all lights off except the outside light)...

Re: Westminster Station test render v5.3

ph :o what a big difference.

If you leave the light power at 35 and play with the area adjustment, it'll give you more smooth shadows. If you leave the area adjustment to zero and use the power instead, you'll have hard shadows, spotlight effect.

See, I know how it's done in real life. It's a big diffusion screen with a light behind it. In other words, the shot was staged. Which was the next thing I was going to try.
oh! That's very interesting :o

I turned on God's Ray (and for all the lights too) and the leaves are fine. Don't we have bug spray to make it easy?
