Re: UV textures

yes that's normal, it's like trying to cover the object with a cloth, without folding or cutting the tight spots so it fits. Have you tried my other suggestion?

Re: UV textures

no I wouldn't do this, I would try with ThruPaint instead, it's free. Have you tried it before?

Re: UV textures

oh ok, if you use ThruPaint on them, they may turn out ok, but the problem is painting a sphere like object will distort the texture to fit the poles, that's why you get a bunch of little texture per triangle.

Re: UV textures

The reason is because they are exported as triangles and each have a deformed texture. Do you have a screen shot of the shape?

Re: Crash when using high resolution (4K)

Yes, it's all about memory. You have to remember that on the GPU (video card), its memory is used by Windows to display your Desktop, then, for the render, the render image which uses much more memory than your Desktop image do because the accuracy is float not RGB limited to 256 shades per color, t...

Re: Metric/imperial fur grass issues

You should work in meters instead of mm, you can change it easily in the Raylectron Option menu. or if you use meters in Sketchup, it will send that to Raylectron, then you'll have blades per square meter instead in mm.

Re: Texture question

Normal maps provide more information than bump maps, since they can specify direction as well as depth.

A good place to get free texture with their normal maps is...

https://www.filterforge.com/filters/cat ... page1.html

You can tell the normal map because it's bluish.
