Re: Luxury Asian patio
That's weird, maybe you didn't have Direct Illumination on? Sometimes it happens depending on the settings you have for the lights, and it re-select itself when a light setting changes. You didn't have to render it that long. If you noticed, after just a few samples, there are no more notable differ...

Re: Luxury Asian patio
In this one, I turned off the fog, turned on the sun, sky, clouds and mountains, made fur on the carpet, rendered for 20 sec, no grains.

Re: Luxury Asian patio
I closed in the open area with a portal so Raylectron knows where to look for outdoor light (see screen shot, the red part) and rendered it for 10 sec with Environment on and everything else off, fog as it was in Sketchup.

Re: Luxury Asian patio
I exported your model, put shine on the floor and made the emitters then render for 10 sec (3 samples). The leaves are proper, the fog is from the Sketchup settings, looks proper too. Which version of Sketchup did you use to export it?

Re: Luxury Asian patio
Something is definitely not right Bryan. The leaves are still not right and the grain, where do they come from??? Would you share your SKP with me so I can try it?

Okwa I know what you mean. But lets face it, if Microsoft can't make a good browser, they sure can't make an operating system at all. Edge is way more than a browser, it's part of the OS and provide an interface to it for developers like me. It does way more than Firefox and Chrome or any other bro...

v5.3 (February 13, 2024)
Added a new Grain Free "Mode 1" (Mode 2 is the old way) in the Illumination setting for the CPU. It is very fast and can fully render your scene in seconds.
The GPU was also updated to be faster.
Some reported bugs have been fixed too.

Re: Luxury Asian patio
If the leaves are PNG with alpha channel, they should not show the transparency part. In your render, they look like rectangles, so something isn't right. Even in draft mode they should show properly. The fog doesn't work like the old way. It works the same as in Sketchup. In any case, I have just u...

Re: Note about free memory
Thanks for your post Chris. However, for me, I only use Edge as Firefox is not reliable for me. Edge never once gave me problems, but again, as a computer guy, I always get into the settings of my apps, Edge included, and turn off many things. For Edge, I reduce the cache to 100mb because I really d...

Re: Operation Return
At STO. Every anniversary, as well as at Christmas and during the summer vacations, there is an event at the end of which you receive a new ship. :D This year it's the Federation/Klingon/Romulan version of a Dominion fighter :o but what do you mean by "receive a new ship"? Do they give yo...

Re: Operation Return
I really like this, and I'd LOVE to see a closeup render of that DS9 you modeled, doesn't look like anything easy to make.
Is it the 14th anniversary already?

Re: Party Time on Bajor
I was going to ask you how did you do these fireworks in 3D, but now I know. However, It got me thinking a lot before I started reading. I should have read first
and yes, it's a very interesting effect indeed.
Am I to take this as adding 3D Fireworks to Raylectron too?

Re: MC-190
@Support dang it Michael, you do it to me every time. Now I have to go hide somewhere, so I can cry in piece. Seriously, you do have a knack of making me both smile and tear up at the same time, and like the brother I should have had (not the one I did have), you know how to love and support ...
