Re: Raylectron 4 extension not starting anymore
We are still working on it, Skp 2019.2 have removed the core api to export, now we have to re-write the code to use the new api.

Re: Raylectron 4 extension not starting anymore
This new version of Sketchup 2019.2 removed something that makes our render no longer work. We are working of fixing it. In the mean time, you need to go back to the last version of Sketchup so you can keep on working. If you like, you can download the Sketchup 2019 folder that works, go to your c:\...

Re: Raylectron 4 extension not starting anymore
It does work for 2019 so something else isn't right. Have you ever install it using the exe file or always the rbz?

Re: How to show light through an object
it's a cube but I could have made it a sphere as well. The beam kind set to none, important in this case because it's not a directional light.

Re: How to show light through an object
Hi, First, make sure the material is the same for the front and back faces of the shade fabric, set the transparency to 30-60 and diffuse to 100. Here is a render of a shade I did, is this about what you're looking for? Mine maybe too transparent (I used 80) but you can play with the number, say, 30...

Re: Render problem Light emitters
I managed to find a way to render these long lights properly, I sent you a PM with the new version for you to try it. This render uses the same light as you have, one single long light...

Re: Render problem Light emitters
you need to set the Beam Kind to None and to unchek the Low Power checkbox. if your emitter is long and not symmetrical as in a 4x4 area light for example, subdivide it into smaller light segment as each will be able to illuminate the proximity objects much brighter as the long single lamp will not ...

Re: Render problem Light emitters
The best way to render in Raylectron is to create your model as they would be in real life, scaling included (real life size). For example, design your light bulbs as they are in real life (just the shell not the filament etc), group all the faces of the light bulb and paint the group with the mater...

Re: Render problem Light emitters
Hi, the other render output was also edited in Photoshop so we have no idea how it looked like right off the render itself. When you make an emitter, you need to make sure the front faces of the emitter are facing in the direction you which it to shine, no materials to the faces, group them and then...

Re: Interesting lighting
to get this effect, you have no choice but to use Post Processing (exposure or combinations of the other settings too). The only other way to make it "too" bright is by using the White Env Map and no portals nd eveen maybe set the Env Map power higher.

Re: Portals
oh ok. In general, it's impossible to say because it all depend on how many artificial lights you have and the complexity of the model and the render resolution (1024x768 vs 2400x2000). If it's a simple bedroom with one light, just a few minutes render is enough on my old i7-2600 CPU, but models lik...

Re: Portals
The sun is not as strong at sunrise or sunset but that is not your problem with illumination. I see you have backdrop image outside the windows, they cast shadows, so, the face with the image, edit it in Raylectron Material Editor and select "Does not block direct light". Next, the back fa...

Re: Jagged edges in shadow from environment
no because the env map is just a low resolution map so that shadow you see isn't cast by Raylectron but part of the map, it's in the map image already, for thsi particular map that is. If you switch to Performance mode and rotate around (turn on Follow Camera in the enc map setting) you'll see the s...
