FFG-180 class guided missile frigate

This is currently a WIP project, so there will be changes as I progress with it. But I thought I'd post a few images of her.

Re: Flight on partrol

I think I put on a few kilos

Yes, Michael gave me the same tips and it does work to a point. Until you need to have different effects for different outlets. The thing is, it worked well for you. :salute

Re: Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Support BKilburn Okwa A belated Merry Christmas to all and a very Happy New Year. I guess some of us, may have put on a few pounds over the festive season, so the New Year means a little extra exercise (especially for me, way too much Christmas Pudding!) I hope you are all well and Michael, its a w...

Re: starting in render

I've found glass a real pain in the arse to do. What I have discovered though, is if you set the opacity to about 90% that really helps and it still looks like glass.

Re: Undergound yard/Kawalsky-Class frigate

@Okwa that is quite amazing Chris. In fact the concept is wonderful and it is something I could tackle myself. Both the frigate and the docking bay. I really do like this. :salute :salute <3

Re: The Death Glider

Okwa Yes I can see what you're doing now. If we could work on something like that, refine it, I'm sure what I'm doing would have been a lot easier. In the second image, the first left hand geometry might well could be made into a glider wing, as is the middle one of the last image. Support I've pus...

@Okwa Chris, I meant to ask earlier, how did you create that geometry? Is that for a Death Glider wing?

Re: The Death Glider

:salute <3 you're welcome I couldn't work out how to use your tool on this, well I did try. So I've been struggling with Curviloft. attached is a wing with two faces. I'd love to see what you can do with that. I'll probably be back again before holidays. wing top.skp

Re: The Death Glider

Well not quite. I've been flying/driving between Sydney, Newcastle and down south to RAAF Wagga this last week. To be honest, its draining. I'll post a couple of screen caps. Essentially my difficulty is generating what we call a leading edge on the wing, as I mentioned earlier. I'm slowly getting t...

Re: The Death Glider

Support Hi Michael, I'm still alive, I just wanted to let you know. As for this project, you know, it's driving me nuts and I still haven't progressed very far. I get a part done and move on, then encounter another issue. I keep thinking there must be an easier way to do this. So far I ha...

That's fabulous Michael. Now, will it be possible for me to create a leading edge with my desired shape along to curve highlighted in blue?

Re: The Death Glider

Okwa 2-3 year old? Is that all? Some of my models stored in the cellar are so old, even the cobwebs have long since gone. They're the sort of thing that you look back on them, just to keep them to remind yourself just how bad you were back in the day. Select edges and follow won't work in thi...

Oh! Well I'm glad you didn't. It'd be a long and expensive (for you) visit for me to have to come and mend your broken bones.

You're most welcome. I haven't been to the SKP forum for ages and I thought that post would be more than appropriate. And thank you Michael. :salute <3
