House found in 3D warehouse

Post by Sergio » Tue Feb 21, 2012 8:38 pm

Here's a render of a house I found in the Google 3D Warehouse by Dilbert http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/ ... e36ce363de

I added some eavestroughs from http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/ ... revstart=0 in the 3D warehouse too.

I used some normal maps from http://www.filterforge.com/filters/ with a Bump setting of 1 and loaded an outdoor environment map and rendered it with Tone Mapping enabled. I let it ran for about 20 mins.

Hi Sergio,
Nice effect. Where did you get the environment map? Do you know of a site that provides free environment maps?
Thanks,

Nick

You can get them here...

http://www.openfootage.net/?tag=hdri

Make sure to download .hdr not .jpg, and the bigest ones, 200mb+ the bigger the better.

hey hey softbyte  how did you know where I got the env map?

Hey Nick, on that site, I downloaded OpenfootageNETHDRFieldFreilassing_big.hdr (215mb) for this house. When you load it, you can rotate it in the viwer so it shines the way you like.

Thanks for the comment :D
