Have you first (for first time only) copied (drag drop) the Favorite folder onto your memory stick? then after your favorites changed, compared the two folders using Comparator?

I copied the favorites after and after over a long time . Now I wanted to use the elegant way . :)

ok, so for example, you have C:\Favorites (hard drive) and M:\Favorites (memory stick) and in Comparator you select C:\Favorites on the left side and M:\Favorites on the right side and did a compare? if so, what did you get? or what did you expect to get?

Ha ha , I expect to see in the tab " Missing Files " all the new favorites I bookmarked since the last backup. So I can copy them to the USB-Stick too.

Exactly, that's what it should do. Can you post a screen shot of the Comparator main window so I can see the settings and stuff?

I just found out I use version 4.10 not 5.12 . :D I got it from a download archiv . Perhaps this is the reason it does not show the files. It can not work with a newer version. Or should it show the files nevertheless ?

We don't support this old version anymore. Can you try the latest version?
