Best Hardware System

Hi Support,

Love Raylectron to bits but I need to render a lot, very lot faster. My system is way too old for this software so can you update your recommendation for a CPU system please (with a view to release V5 requirements). If you could advise a computer at the high end and a medium end price range I'd appreciate it.

My present computer is Windows 8.1, 64 bit. Intel Core i5-3330 CPU@ 3.00Ghz, AMD Radeon HD6670.

Best regards

Mike

Hi Mike

2 weeks ago I changed:
- i5-760 2,8 Ghz
- Radeon HD6850 (1GB)
- 22 GB RAM DDR3
- Standard HDD

to

- i7-5820k
- Nvidia GTX970 (4GB)
- 16 GB RAM DDR 4
- SSD 256GB + 2TB Hybrid HDD

Comfort of work +1000%. Unbelievable increasing rendering speed. Better quality, better ........ everything. :D
I suppose my configuration is prepared to welcome v5, but I am interesting what is support opinion.

Hi Szakul,

Appreciate your feedback. That's what I'm after, better everything and a smiley face!

If you don't mind me asking how much did your new system cost? Are you CPU or GPU? I don't understand computers but I know mine is slooooowwwww.

Regards

Mike

If You're asking about Raylectron version - I use CPU version (because of Raylectron's instances).
Cost - more / less - 1700 euro (7200 PLN - Polish currency) - main unit + windows system

Thanks Szakult

I would suggest the Intel i7-5960X processor, 8 cores, 16 threads. It'll be very fast with the CPU version of Raylectron and that CPU can be overclocked :)

Thank you,
I'll start shopping. Looking forward to V5 so definitely worth investing in a system that will do it justice.
