This image shows the prospector ship P.S.V. Zephon, an Erag-Class spaceship named after a prospector from the planet Emshata (the Minoan world P3X-797), flying over the planet Arwia VII. Arwia VII is an uninhabited Class-M-World in the Arwia system, a solar system in the core area of the Intergalactic Union of Sovereign Planets, but which lies off the usual trade and flight routes.
After a service period of 50-70 years, depending on the number of deployments, warships are no longer considered suitable for military operations. However, these ships can continue to be used for civilian purposes after demilitarization. All military technologies, in particular weapon systems, are removed and the ships are either converted to a standard configuration or individually adapted to customer requirements.
One example of civilian use is the Erag-Class, a converted version of the Teldy-Class corvettes. These ships are primarily used as prospector ships, with additional sensor platforms and storage systems for unmanned vehicles for geological analysis. For this purpose, the lateral superstructures, which serve as a platform for the weapons in the Kawalsky-Class, are extended so that the area of the two ship decks is increased by 300 m² at the relevant point. The Erag-Class ships also offer a high degree of flexibility thanks to the possibility of using the SDUS-cargo hold (Situation-Dependent-Usable-Space, multifunctional all-purpose space, can be adapted to a wide variety of tasks, from cargo hold to operating theater) to perform various tasks. In the version shown, part of the SDUS cargo bay serves as a hangar for two MEV-29 “Ant” shuttles, while the other part is set up and used as a series of conventional storage rooms. Thanks to the additional supplies on board and the reduced crew (5 instead of 25 people), longer missions of up to 80 days are possible, instead of the 8 days of the Kawalsky class.
Ships of the Erag class are also used as cargo ships. The cargo capacity of the ships is 20 Class-1-STCs (Standard Transport Containers), which corresponds to the Type-1-freighters of the T-series. In contrast to the T1 freighters, however, their intergalactic drive enables them to operate over longer distances independently of the hyperjump gate network. Due to competition from larger freighters, Erag-class ships are often used as express freighters, operating on routes where speed is more important than cargo capacity, thanks to their originally military-grade engines (which are more powerful than most civilian engines in terms of top speed/range).
The crew of the P.S.V. Zephon, operating on its own account as the Larin'i Company, named after the ship's commander, hopes that since this world is located in the more frequently patrolled core sectors, even if it is somewhat out of the way, they will find exploitable raw material deposits on this world that have not been plundered by criminals. And above all, to explore the world undisturbed by raiders in order to be able to sell the coordinates more easily to a mining company. Mining companies also prefer mining areas where they are not harassed by criminals.

Re: Mining Operation Part I
Many Thanks. The only name from the series is Teldy. Anne Teldy was a character in an episode of “Stargate Atlantis” played by Christina Cox. Since I'm a fan of Cox, I wanted to give her character a little more meaning. I “made up” the other names. Well, I know of a website to support people who like to roleplay that has a lot of generators for names and terms.

Re: Mining Operation Part I
Nowadays you can find everything possible and impossible on the Internet. The site is called “fantasynamegenerators.com”. As I said, it basically consists of countless generators for names (real, fantasy, all kinds of fanchises, from Avatar to WoW). Plus all kinds of generators for other names, (from airlines to wrestling moves), terms (tree, bugs, minerals, gems, etc.) and descriptions.
