Colour with static backgrounds

Post by GateGirl86 »

I'm doing a scene with my newest ship. (It's far from complete) How do I get the red colour of the background to reflect onto the ship?

Static background is only a one side image and of a specific size, so the ship can not get red from it. You need an environment map to accomplish this.

Is it possible to have an environment map and a static background at the same time?

I also thought we could change the sun/mood colour to do what I need.

No because the static background only covers your viewport, not a sphere around your whole model.

Yes, you can change the sun color, in the Su/Sky setting, check "Override sun color" and then click on the sun color and change it.
