@GateGirl86 @Okwa @BKilburn

I've added two new tools to the toolset that I'm sure you guys will need (I hope you will)...

@Support OOOOhhh, that looks good. :excited: I've had an idea for some time that I could use the tool for. Let's see if my idea works. But it will take a little while until I can really try it. :D

Great @Okwa but no rush. I was getting tired of the Sketchup "Follow Me" tool because it only works on lines that don't cross. So it's nearly impossible to use it on a dome or on shapes like in the video, so I made my own :lol:

Wow! Will Follow All also work for rectangle cross sections? I find myself often needing something like Pipe Along Path, but with rectangle cross section instead of circular. Basically, square tubing on complex paths.

The old Follow Me tool works, but when it comes to complex curves, it's... finicky.

But damn. I'll have to spend the rest of the year catching up on your new tools! Well done!

Yes it will and you can make the shape you want, not limited to the circle as shown in the video. Unlike 'Follow Me', You don't have to align the shape either, it does it automatically. It works on any paths, no matter how often they cross, touch or completely separated. It does not automatically smooth it, so you'll have to do that manually, that's why I selected the group, exploded the children then use the Smooth on the group, as shown in the video. I purposely did this because if you have a shape like a square or triangle, it won't look good to smooth it, so I leave that up to the user.

@Support I have noticed something. When I outline angular shapes, e.g. cubes, pyramids, etc., with Follow All, it often happens that a peak forms at one or more corners.
To show what I mean, I have created a simple "hull". On the Image I on the left (in front on Image II) I created the border with "Follow All". On the other model I used "Tubify".
What confuses me is that pointy corner at the back left that you can see in Image I on the "Follow All" model. This happens, as I said, to simple angular shapes realtively often. With complex angular shapes, like the "ball" from the end of your video, it happens less often. But even there it happens from time to time.
That there is a hidden line, I can already exclude.

@Okwa What is the shape that you have selected to extrude on the edges?

Here I use a circle with 2 m diameter. But the shape does not matter. I have also tried with triangle, square and octagon. The decisive factor is the shape of the model that you want to border. With icosahedrons, it almost never happens. With cubes, pyramids, etc., on the other hand, it occurs frequently.

That is absolutely fabulous Michael and a 200% improvement over SKPs. Can I ask though, other than tubes, will it follow organic shapes? :excited: <3 :salute

Thanks :) and yes, you can use it on anything that has edges, organic, square, whatever. I just uploaded a new fix, so if you have downloaded it more than a minute ago, re-download it again.
