Star Trek: Romulus of the 23rd century

Post by Okwa »

Nothing special, no special story. I was bored and wanted to know whether I could use the astronomical simulator "Universe Sandbox" to configure a planet so that it would resemble the planet Romulus.
According to the pictures you can find on "Memory Alpha" of Romulus, I am quite satisfied. So I decided to create a quick rendering with all my Romulan ships for the 23rd century.

Many thanks. I had to play with the settings for a while until I got the desired water-to-land ratio and the right colors. But it actually worked quite well. Better than the Yavin background image. :D

To be honest, I like both. They provide their own stories, they are unique.

Oh, me too. I just mean that I'm more satisfied with the work process for the planet Romulus than for the planet Yavin. With Yavin, I had to accept some compromises for technical reasons in order to achieve a result that was as similar as possible to the film representation of this gas planet.
