I think you are in the right path, but I feel there is still something missing. @BKilburn will know, I'm not an expert at this like he is. Take a look at his last post how he put it together, very simple but the position, distance, lighting etc is what gives it that realistic look too, not just the rendering.

Many Thanks. Absolutely right. All the little details that make a good scene. What I've already noticed, of course only after I posted the image :lol: , is that I should readjust the light so that it harmonizes better with the shadow on the planet.

That second render nails it. Composition and lighting are absolutely your best yet!
