@Okwa
Nice Did you post this one before? I can't recall if you did
I think I fixed it, can you re-download it again? same link.

@Support No problem. You have other things to think about, you can't remember every post in the forum. Yes, I posted the scene in July, thread “United World Organization”.
Sure, no problem. I'll let you know as soon as I've tried it out.

Re: Iari'Mhatep Intergalatic Gateway Spaceport
@Support Starting with the Dekstop shortcut works now without any problems. Loading ROF then works without any problems.
But, Raylectron no longer accepts decimal point values. Neither 0,1 nor 0.1 is accepted. Not in any tab. Not for textures, fog, ocean etc. Moving the sliders with the mouse or integers work. But apparently Raylectron does not recognize comma or point now.
There's always a problem somewhere that comes around the corner and annoys you.

ah, I can fix that no problem, it was working before for you right?, so I know where the problem isOkwa wrote: Fri Sep 06, 2024 1:11 am @Support Starting with the Dekstop shortcut works now without any problems. Loading ROF then works without any problems.

I'm glad it's not giving you errors anymore, but as you said, fix one thing to break something else, I'm a genius at that
Thank you Chris for helping me out, I really appreciate it very much

@Okwa
Another update (same link). I added "Specular" and "Metallic" to the Material Editor.
Specular: It adds highlights. 20 to 60 is a good start.
Metallic: It turns your material into a metal. like gold, silver etc. Use the Reflection to set how metallic it is and the Specular to set how shiny it is.
To enter a number in your format should work. When I set my Windows to German, I can enter 0,01 and it takes it so it should work for you too.
I've updated a lot of other things so you should get even better results.
Here is the metallic material for the car paint and the wheels...

@Support
No problem Michael. Always happy to help.
That's just the way it is. If you change something here, it disrupts something there. An eternal cycle of work.
You're cheating. You photographed a car and only claim to have rendered it. WOW, that looks incredible. Trying it out right now.

Re: Iari'Mhatep Intergalatic Gateway Spaceport
@Support Thanks to a city-wide power cut, I have just lost my new scene . But I can already tell you one thing. It looks good. And everything works fine.
Re: Iari'Mhatep Intergalatic Gateway Spaceport
@Support The two scenes I worked on today. Actually, I only wanted to create the first image. But since I had placed all the ships in the same scene, I thought, why not a combined image of all the ships?

I got a new update (same link). I changed the checkbox for Metallic to a slider that you can adjust how metallic the material is. The Specular setting (works only with Sun or Artificial lights) will work on anything and works well with Metallic. Use the Reflection too with Metallic to really customize the effect.

Re: Iari'Mhatep Intergalatic Gateway Spaceport
@Support Great picture!!!
I just quickly cobbled something together. Just for the test. A few drivers during rush hour 1000 m above the Atlantis on their way to work. The driver of a Ferrari Seraphis and a Toyota Aetheria are in a particular hurry and overtake a Serato Dynastar.
As I said, nothing really elaborate. Just to test how the new function affects different textures. The sliders are all responsive and the effects on the textures look great.

Re: Iari'Mhatep Intergalatic Gateway Spaceport
@Support I want to post this scene on DeviantArt the day after tomorrow. And while working on the accompanying text, I noticed a few things about the last rendered version of the image that I no longer like. So I rendered the scene again with the new beta. Unfortunately at a different angle than the last version. I had forgotten to save it.

I didn't expect to see a race and I really like it, and the motion blur really makes it "fast"Okwa wrote: Tue Sep 10, 2024 4:10 am @Support Great picture!!!

oh it looks nice and I like it, even if you don't It has this feel of secluded and up to something. Re: Iari'Mhatep Intergalatic Gateway Spaceport
What does race mean? It's just the early morning work traffic. That's what happens when a car reaches Mach 1 and more!Support wrote: Tue Sep 10, 2024 2:33 pm

A very small misunderstanding. I am very happy with this image. The only thing that annoys me is that I forgot to save the previous settings correctly. Careless mistakes are always annoying. But I think this version is better than all the previous compositions. Because you can see the details better.Support wrote: Tue Sep 10, 2024 2:36 pm

@Support However, on closer inspection, I have to fine-tune the large model again. The engine elements are too huge.

Re: Iari'Mhatep Intergalatic Gateway Spaceport
I think this version of the Emfa-Class is better. I have moved the main engine elements downwards. And the secondary engines, which are the large black elements on the previous model, I made into a narrow band that runs once around the whole ship on the upper edge of the hull. I also recreated the lower section of the hull using your “Connect Faces” tool. This enabled me to equip the lower section with these “steel struts”, just like the upper sections before.
Unfortunately, I made the “solar panel” texture on the main building larger when reworking the model. Now you can see them a bit too clearly. But somehow I don't care.
BTW, this time I rendered the new image with the evening sun setting, just like the Chaka-Class before. And not with the sun positioned behind the camera as in the previous Emfa-Class image. It looks better.

The panels are fine, they are supposed to be very visible since solar panels are very reflective to begin with.
Now, I don't want to sound naive, but, spaceship of the future with solar panels??? I mean, you know, quantum drives? anti-matter drives? and in deep space, no sun? or am I missing something

Re: Iari'Mhatep Intergalatic Gateway Spaceport
I should finally post a proper description here in the forum. Apart from the fact that solar panels are much more effective in this sci-fi setting than in reality, they are not actually intended to power the spaceship. The Emfa-Class is a Mobile Industrial Facilities. The buildings on the ship are industrial buildings. Extracted resources of all kinds are processed here. The solar panels are used solely to supply energy to the systems and equipment, such as smelting furnaces, presses and rollers, in the respective building.Support wrote: Thu Sep 12, 2024 1:44 am

ah, now that makes sense, it's not a battle cruiser running on solar panels in deep space A story for it would have been perfect indeedOkwa wrote: Thu Sep 12, 2024 4:35 am I should finally post a proper description here in the forum.
