Re: Space Cruiser
Amazing! Now, if you had a super fast PC with 4 CPU, you could make a movie out of this!

Re: Space Cruiser
I can only wish. I'm using an 8 year old laptop with a 500MB (that's right, MB) vid card.

i5, 16gb RAM, 500MG vid card, 7200rpm spin drive. Vid card shares RAM when needed.
Yeah, it works, but man does it take a while. But no animation ever.
Re: Space Cruiser
wow, I can imagine. Maybe reduce the path depth from 24 down to 3-5 to sped it up a bit?

Re: Space Cruiser
Oh I've learned some tricks, let me tell you! But I've found going below 10 path depth doesn't look good. I've also found that by ungrouping ALL artificial lights, Raylectron just sees it as one light instead of say 20+. I've found that I can't use very many path and that proxie doesn't work, so all of my models have to be as clean and "efficient" as is possible. Grass and fur have limits and my scenes have to be tight, so I cheat a LOT of camera angle.
And the list goes on. SketchUp also slows significantly down when I make larger models.
One day, I'll have a new (well, newer) PC.
Re: Space Cruiser
I hear you, and you do make astonishing renders nonetheless, it's amazing. I was just about to reply to your PM about the lights, that they are all one, but you knew that already and that's maybe why the ceiling is more bright then it should.

Re: Space Cruiser
Ah cool! That's interesting. Any suggestions? I'm still very happy with the current results, but of course, I'm trying to be better. Please PM me.
Re: Space Cruiser
That is incredible work, well done.
Re: Space Cruiser
You're very welcome. I suppose I should post up some of my daughter's work here, soon.
