Hi, to make this image an emitter, apply this image to the front face of your rectangle or whatever object you want to put it on, then in Raylectron, convert it to an Emitter. If you have already done so, it's possible that the image is applied to the back face, in this case, select Back in the emitter setting.

I have selected "both", smooth thread and a very high value of 20,000.

ok, but the image is fairly dark too and it does use the image pixels as the illumination. Can you send a screen shot as to how it in in Sketchup so I can visualize, or PM me a test model?

I assume what you're doing is like a TV screen and you wish that to illuminate, correct?

ok I got fooled here, I thought the whole thing was a picture but only the forest is correct? In that case, do the same as a portal, create a shape that covers the whole outside opening of the window, make sure the front face faces inside, group it, then apply the forest picture to the front face, prepend Emitter to its name, like Emitter - Forest for example so Raylectron knows it's a light and you won't need to manually tell it. In the emitter settings, click on Auto Set Values, it will decide for you what would be the best value for lighting up the room, tweak it as needed. Please let me know how that works? and a screen shot if you can, it's a beautiful model you made here, fooled me, I thought it was a photo!

I meant the window opening, the building cutout of the window, trace it to make the exact same shape and paint it, make sure the face doesn't touch the windows.

When you said "I was unable to download your area rug on your free models", what happen when you try?

Hi I am assuming that if I use the portal I can still use the Sun to illuminate. If you have a look at the inage the light comes from a low sun from the far right. How can I position the Sun where I want it? I know how to move the sun but not where I want it. How would you place the Sun?

Yes you can use the Sun with portals, it's better to do that than without portals. If you use an Environment map, there is an option to click on the map to set the sun at the same place as the sun in the map. Since you use a image only, you'll need to make it transparent so you can see the sun and move it to where you want it, then remove the transparency, make sure to select "Does not block direct light" for the forest image so the sun can shine thought it otherwise, it will block it 100% and no sun will shine in the room.
