Free memory when rendering

Since I'm limited to the free version of Raylectron, what things are a limiting factor when rendering?

Number of materials?

Physical size of model? (currently working on a 810m long ship)

Anything else you can suggest.

Thank you in advance.

Only the resolution and the logo, no other limitations.

This is my problem.

I've created models (smaller) with far greater detail and they render fine. This one, which I have made at 1:1 scale, goes down to 9% free memory and stops. It won't render?

What do you mean by resolution and the logo? (the Raylectron watermark?)

What I mean is the output size, like 1024x768 which cannot be changed.

Yes, I meant the watermark, the URL at the bottom left.

When Raylectron see that your memory is lower than about 10% it will stop in order to prevent memory disk swapping by Windows which is terribly slow and can make your system unusable. Free some memory by closing Sketchup for example and any other apps you have running that you don't need along with Raylectron, then you can reload the ROF file in Raylectron.

Can I shut close Sketchup once Raylectron has started?

Absolutely yes. Once the export window in Sketchup is closed and Raylectron starts, it is safe to close Sketchup.

Thank you! That worked brilliantly. I shut everything else down and it shot up to 32%

The image is a bit dodgy since I doubled it in size (see ragged edges), but otherwise, so far it looks great.

(this is a huge ship)

Thank you. I actually thought I'd never build this ship. For although doing a 2d drawing on CAD was fairly straight forward, translating those ridiculous curves up front was something else.

So here is my little gift for Raylectron. I'm making full use of the 'space/night/stars' theme here.

Oh and this was my original plan.

WOW!!! This is a LOT of work here! I was under the impression that you just build the ship in 3D as you go, but the 2D is the blueprint of it, that's impressive and very involved!!!

My father was an Engineer with the Navy, he taught me and my brother a lot from a young age. And though I was very interested in learning to weld and use a lathe, his drawings on CAD always fascinated me. So about ten years ago he gave me his old version of Autocad. He said if you going to build something, you need a plan. 8-)

Absolutely true, I'm an architect so I understand that 100% but Sketchup to me is just a hobby so I build as I go, no plan

Well definitely you know where I'm coming from. Even if I don't use the CAD, I'll sketch it out on paper first and still try to follow what I drew. But of course that will often deviate.

Indeed (Teal'c  ), You're doing it as if you were to make the movie! That's a lot of work!

Do you know he was possibly after Sam Carter my favourite character of all? And I have met Chris twice now here in Sydney. Ten years apart (2007 and 2017). He is such a wonderful man.

My other dream besides medicine was to be in movies. Not in front of the camera though, actually making movies! :D

No I didn't know that :o

Me too I always wanted to make movies, but it takes so much time and computer power only Hollywood can afford!

Well of course I did have a soft spot for Jack :D

God yes. My thoughts were to work in props, I think its wonderful for example how they can build something like the SGC, mostly from plywood and give you the feeling that is real steel and concrete there. Or the bridge of a ship!
