New version of Raylectron - Modern rural house

Post by BKilburn »

New version of Raylectron with built-in assets and scattering. In this render, it is the background trees.

House design by me.

"Assets" is a version of an object like a tree and a rock that you can scatter over an area and with options of scaling and rotations. That's coming in v5.2

Hey Bryan, nice work here, I LOVE this.

I need this too, I can't believe this, Raylectron is just about doing everything from planets, birds, clouds, mountains etc to asset scattering. Jesus, what else will you think of next? Same cheap price, lifetime free updates, that's crazy man, everyone else are now on monthly and/or yearly subscription!!!

Thank you :) I won't change my ways, I don't believe in monthly and yearly subscriptions just to make "more" money. I hate these tricks. What will I think of next? hmmmm, I don't know, but I'm sure I'll think of something because just when I think I can't add anything else to Raylectron, someone like Bryan and Gategirl86 comes along with needs or just showing their work and bang, here comes the new idea

Regular Raylectron grass. Just tweaked a little with more blades and a tiny bit taller then adjusted the color.

This is the pine tree asset that Raylectron will offer in the new version, built right into the menu. It will also have rocks, other trees and a few other objects.

I am not privy to a complete list. This render is from a beta test.

Yeah, whatever you are doing to the software, you're doing great. This is my best grass yet and I just did more or less what I usually do. Maybe I used a softer touch this time. But there is definitely some enhanced changes to the render because of the software.

And it generated the grass much faster than usual. MUCH faster.

When testing the assets with the grass, I've noticed something wasn't right, it was the normal vectors for the blade, I fixed that so they are illuminated properly this time, maybe that's why? But regardless, you fixed the settings just right.

It created the grass much faster this time. It was so fast I had to double check it.

I did a lot of code rewriting because with the assets, things got really slow, so old code from v2, v3 and v4 got dumped and totally redone from scratch.
