When it first starts, it can't be accurate as too how long because it has to render more, then if you use the laptop, it slows the render and also the accuracy of the time left. It does that to me as well, it starts with 15 then after a minute or two it's down to 8, but then it stays fairly accurate after that.

I think that is so. It settled in quite well once it hit the 1'45" mark. Now its 1'27" and I'm happy with that. Such a pity I can't put my software on the desktop here in the Medical Wing. It is huge and because we have analytical programmes on it, as well as CAD/CAM for Orthopedics (my job) I'm going to assume the GPU is very good as well.

I asked one of the Medics here, he is something of a computer geek. He said basically the two computers we have in our wing are gaming computers and yes they'd be awesome. His advice is to wait until October when they get knew ones and then make an offer to the Dept of Supply. They'll sell it apparently cheap within the service, rather than have to go to all the trouble of sending them to auction. Apparently they lose and more often than not, they just throw them away.

That sounds like a good deal, but, but, it's only in October, half a year to wait :o

Anyway you can get the specs from them?

I made my 1st clip, it wasn't the best (too quick) so I'm doing it again. I need to slow it down somehow.

I know, same here, in preview mode, it's slow because it's not realtime!

To test the speed, set your Frames/Sec to 1 and do it in Performance mode, then look at saved video see how fast it is, then adjust, repeat, until you get it right, then set the Frames/Sec the way you like it and remove the Performance mode before you save the animation.

Coming along good. I've managed to make something easy for the end-user to make the path for the object. This one doesn't just go straight, a lot more natural. It's only one sample per frames so it's grainy but just to demonstrate...

Thank you. I just got done with acceleration, it looks cool to watch it at stand still and starts to go then go faster and faster. I'm really enjoying this, thanks to you Sam :D <3 :salute

oh, and I'm thinking to animating the emitters God's Ray too so that it can start with low God's Ray then get strong when it starts to accelerate. :)
