Happy New Year
Happy New Year
Happy New Year to you all and a little poem of praise for Michael, as he has once again outdone himself with the latest tool. And as proof, the picture below. During two quiet hours between the holidays, I created each of the models in this picture, with the exception of the large horned model in the background, more or less just using the "Connect Faces" tool alone. The exception, as I said, is the big beast in the background. I have only fitted the beast with new horns on its head and spikes on its back. Finally realistic horns for my beasts.
And now the little hymn of praise:
"Oh Michael, creator from the coder's guild,
With your art, you leave creators wanting more.
In your hands, tools are born, so divine,
Empowering artists in the creative line.
Yet not as a modeler, but as a coder in grace,
You enable others in the 3D space.
Your programs are like magic in the air,
A gift for creators, beyond compare.
You shape the codes, guide the syntax,
Crafting tools, creative and lax.
In your realm of algorithms and light,
Others create art, both bold and bright.
Let this praise sound like lines of code,
In your art, oh Michael, our gratitude is bestowed.
For every tool you've brought to birth,
Be praised, in the digital garden, across the earth."

Chris, I don't know how many "thank you" would be enough. Your poem touches my heart deeply, so well done, so expressive, so nice, you are more talented than you think. I really Love it Chris, thank you again and again
I'm very and super happy that my plugin serve you that well. Right now, I've very emotional, you really made my new year, a real new year I wish you a happy new year as well Chris, and thank you (repeat forever)

You're Welcome @Support .
To be honest, there's an algorithm for everything these days. Even those that can write poetry. I thought that was appropriate for a programmer. I should have mentioned it in the first post.
And the work continues. I'm in a really creative mood at the moment and am redesigning one model after the other or, as with the large model in the background, at least improving the details.

Re: Happy New Year
Well, I mean all those little online programs. They're all algorithms, aren't they? My translator, which I use when I get stuck in English. Or all the calculation programs I use for various calculations for my background story. God, without my "speed of light" calculator I'd be screwed. Or the fake language generator that I use to create alien languages. My favorite, for about a year now, which I also used to "create" the poem, is ChatGPT. Translator, search engine, Wikipedia, spelling program and synonym finder, all in one. But you shouldn't use it as a calculator. ChatGPT makes mistakes from time to time, but the program is notoriously faulty when it comes to calculations. . Well, no wonder, it is a program for languages.
First of all, I'm reworking all the models that have wings. Yesterday I created two more death glider variants. And I'm thinking about reworking my naval ships too. I have an idea in my head that I don't yet know how to implement with Sketchup.

ah yes, there is a program for just about anything, I use Google Translate when I need to. But to write a poem? You must had written it first and ask ChatGPT to correct the grammar or something no?

Re: Happy New Year
I tried that ChatGPT, I ask for a poem about my friend Chris who is a 3D modeler and is intelligent and this is what it came up with
Quantum apples dancing in binary rain,
Chris, the architect of a silicon brain.
Elephantine numbers whisper in blue,
In the corridors of logic, Chris ties his shoe.
Clockwork butterflies on a sea of green tea,
Chris calculates the melody of a triangular bee.
Rubik's cubes sing in harmonious discord,
In Chris's gaze, the chessboard is floored.
Giraffes in spacesuits debate over pie,
While Chris constructs algorithms in the sky.
Invisible ink spills secrets on a page,
Chris, in wisdom, turns the kaleidoscopic stage.
Magnetic roses in a digital garden grow,
Chris harvests the stars with an indigo hoe.
Through the labyrinth of paradox, he strides with a grin,
Where each end is a start, and the outside's within.

Re: Happy New Year
This is so hilarious, I've ask it to make me one for Mel
Melanie flies on a stethoscope wing,
In the land where the thermometers sing.
Above the clouds, in a balloon of care,
She bandages stars with a nebulous flare.
With syringes of moonlight, and IVs of dawn,
In her air force blues, through the galaxy drawn.
She whispers to comets, takes pulses of Mars,
In her dance with the planets, beneath the radar of stars.
Gauze made of rainbows, band-aids of sun,
Melanie's nursing, never outdone.
In the echo of jet engines, in the symphony of space,
She administers cosmic comfort, with interstellar grace.
Flight suits woven from threads of a dream,
Where reality's edges are not what they seem.
In the cockpit of healing, with a nebula's kit,
She stitches the fabric of the universe, bit by bit.
Melanie, the nurse in a high-flying tale,
Where logic is a kite, adrift in a gale.
In her world of airborne care and celestial art,
She mends the sky's canvas, with the beat of her heart.

In that case, I ask ChatGPT to correct that (I got to stop playing with this thig, so cool how computers can come up with this stuff )
In the realm where clouds are operating tables,
Melanie wields a scalpel spun from fables.
Among the stars, her surgery room,
Where constellations witness, in cosmic bloom.
With sutures made of comet tails,
She stitches wounds in celestial gales.
In her hands, the gravity of care,
In an orbit of healing, exceptionally rare.
Through the Milky Way, her scalpel dances,
In surgeries scripted in cosmic trances.
On the wings of planes, where eagles dare,
Melanie's artistry floats on air.
In the theatre of the sky, where planets align,
Her skills shimmer with a brilliance divine.
The moon her lamp, the sun her guide,
In this surreal space, her talents abide.
Surgeon of the stratosphere, doctor of the dawn,
In the universe's vastness, her legend is born.
Melanie, in her flight suit, weaves the cosmic thread,
In the high-flying theatre, where fears are shed.

Now, just how do you do that poetry thing?

With Chris telling me how he did his for me, I went to ChatGPT and ask to make me a poem for my friend Melanie who is a surgeon and that was it. It's amazing and super fun too, you should try it.

Title: "The Binary Bard"
In the realm of circuits and code,
Where ones and zeros deftly strode,
There lived a friend, Michael by name,
A computer genius, in the tech hall of fame.
In the dance of electrons, he found his groove,
A virtuoso of algorithms, on a digital move.
Binary whispers and silicon dreams,
In the vast expanse of cybernetic streams.
Lines of code, like poetry, he would weave,
A symphony of logic, where mysteries leave.
In the language of machines, he held the key,
Unlocking secrets of the tech symphony.
With every keystroke, a masterpiece unfolded,
A digital tapestry, meticulously molded.
Through circuits and boards, his vision soared,
A tech wizard, forever adored.
In the glow of screens, his passion ablaze,
Navigating cyberspace, in myriad ways.
Error messages were mere challenges to conquer,
For Michael, the computer genius, was no loner.
In the world of silicon, he cast his spell,
A modern-day wizard, with stories to tell.
Friend Michael, the maestro of the binary art,
In the digital realm, he played his part.
So here's to Michael, the code maestro,
In the binary universe, a constant glow.
A friend, a genius, in circuits immersed,
In the vast landscape of tech, he's traversed.

Fun, right? ChatGPT can also do other things, such as hexameter, a meter used by ancient Greeks like Homer:
"In laughter's echoes, Melanie and Michael's cheer,
Through life's journey, steadfast friends, always near."
or Japanese haiku:
"Melanie and Mike,
Kindred spirits in life's dance,
Friendship's joyful light."
Oh God, what a mess I've made.

Re: Happy New Year
@Support I think ChatGPT is very intuitive. Talk to the program like you would talk to a person. Via chat. So in that case I wrote (really, I'm just copying and pasting my request to ChatGPT here now):
"Please a haiku, in English, about my two friends Melanie and Michael."
"A hexameter in English, about my friends Melanie and Michael."
"Please a haiku, in English, about my two friends Melanie and Michael."
"A hexameter in English, about my friends Melanie and Michael."
Re: Happy New Year
oh ok! I tried what you wrote and got...
Certainly! First, here's a haiku about Melanie and Michael:
"Melanie's laughter,
Michael's steadfast gaze at dusk,
Friendship's harmony."
Now, a hexameter about them:
"In twilight's embrace, Melanie's joy meets Michael's calm, their bond unyielding."
am I doing something wrong or is that it?

Well, I don't know much about the meter, but something seems to have gone wrong with this haiku. The first and second lines should end with the same letter. Like in my example: " cheer" and "near".Support wrote: Fri Jan 05, 2024 3:41 pm oh ok! I tried what you wrote and got...

However, this may simply be due to ChatGPT itself and has nothing to do with your "request". As I said, there are sometimes errors and you can't see why. I personally use ChatGPT mainly to make my descriptions, the detailed version of which I don't post in this forum, easier to understand. I have had a few problems in this respect in the past, which have been brought to my attention. But I keep finding that when ChatGPT rephrases my texts, it turns the meaning of my texts into the exact opposite. I still haven't been able to find out why.

You two break me up.
I did edit this by the way.
In the realm where circuits hum, Three friends, with minds that drum. Geeks they are, with passions ablaze, Mel, Mike, and Chris, in a digital maze.
Mike, the coder, with fingers so deft, In the binary world, where ones and zeros are left. Unfiltered thoughts, with a humor bold, Politically incorrect tales, in code they're told.
Chris, the gamer, with eyes on the screen, Navigating worlds where fantasy convenes. A laughter that echoes through the LAN, In pixels and sprites, their stories began
Mel, the medical whiz, with gadgets in hand, In bones and flesh, she'd firmly stand. In a world where correctness takes a back seat, Their friendship's bond, oh, so sweet.
They'd gather 'round, in the geeky domain, No filter applied, no need to explain. Jokes and banter, without PC chains, In this digital haven, where humor reigns
No concerns for the woke brigade, In their sanctuary, where jokes don't fade. A trio of minds, unafraid to jest, In a land where political correctness is put to rest.
So here's to Mel, Mike, and Chris, In their geeky haven of digital bliss. In the realm of code, laughter, and jest, They find solace, where political correctness can rest.

@Okwa I see. I've tried a few things, like to rewrite some of my post on my FB page but the results are weird, very politically correct kind of style, and very bias too, and like you said, twisting the meaning! I even tried by telling it to make me a code for a Sketchup plugin and it was a complete mess and didn't work at all
