Requesting help to download images from coppermine gallery

BlackWidow scans websites (it's a site ripper). It can download an entire website, or download portions of a site.

Requesting help to download images from coppermine gallery

Post by roy9561 » Wed Apr 25, 2012 9:36 am

I need all the pictures from this site: (Coppermine Photo Gallery)
http://raylude.wwoec.com/

There is 8 galleries with a total of about 800 files. Each image has a thumbnail, a small and a full size version.
I am only interested in the full size version of course.

I tried using BlackWidow to scan the website but it's taking forever and when I click download nothing happens, so I'm probably doing something wrong.

Hope someone can help me
Thanks :)

ok, here are the filters to do that. Copy the block of text below and in the Filters window, click on the "Paste settings" button and start the scan...

Code: Select all

[BlackWidow v6.00 filters]
URL = http://raylude.wwoec.com/
[ ] Expert mode
[ ] Scan everything
[x] Scan whole site
Local depth: 0
[x] Scan external links
[ ] Only verify external links
External depth: 0
Default index page:
Startup referrer:
[ ] Slow down by 10:60 seconds
4 threads
[x] Replace thumb_ with normal_ using plain text
[x] Follow /thumbnails\.php\?album=\d+$ using regular expression
[x] Add /normal_ from URL using plain text
[x] Follow /thumbnails\.php\?album=\d+&page=\d+$ using regular expression
[end]

Thanks, the scan was pretty fast this time but there was a few problems.
I noticed some 404 file not found errors, so it seems a few pictures is missing.

Also all the images are only the medium sized versions, not the full size images.

There seems to be 3 of each image, small, medium and large.
Here is an example:
/albums/2005bw/thumb_001_beach.jpg (thumbnail)

/albums/2005bw/normal_001_beach.jpg (medium size)

/albums/2005bw/001_beach.jpg (full size)
Using your filters I got all the "normal_" (medium size) pictures but not the full size ones.

Did I do something wrong or does the filter need to be changed?

On the 404 ones, we can't do anything about that, because it means that the server can't find that file, even if a link is provided to it.

I didn't know there was 3 size, so here are the new filters...

Code: Select all

[BlackWidow v6.00 filters]
URL = http://raylude.wwoec.com/
[ ] Expert mode
[ ] Scan everything
[x] Scan whole site
Local depth: 0
[x] Scan external links
[ ] Only verify external links
External depth: 0
Default index page:
Startup referrer:
[ ] Slow down by 10:60 seconds
4 threads
[x] Replace /thumb_ with / using plain text
[x] Follow /thumbnails\.php\?album=\d+$ using regular expression
[x] Add /albums/.*\.(gif|jpg|png)$ from URL using regular expression
[x] Follow /thumbnails\.php\?album=\d+&page=\d+$ using regular expression
[end]

Thank you very much the filters work perfectly now :D
Do you think they would also work for any other site with the coppermine gallery?

It might work with other sites, but you may have to modify the filters a bit. I don't know, you have to try.
